HHRM organises the Mediterranean Offshore Authorities Forum

Following the vision of strengthening regional cooperation in key sectors such as offshore safety, Hellenic Hydrocarbon Resources Management (HHRM S.A.) is launching another cross-border initiative and organizes the Mediterranean Offshore Authorities Forum, with the participation of the Competent Authorities for Offshore Safety from EU Mediterranean Countries (Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Malta, Spain and Portugal), the Department of Public Works of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works of Cyprus and the Cyprus Hydrocarbons Company.

The Mediterranean Offshore Authorities Forum will be held on 4 December 2020 and through this initiative, HHRM aims to encourage continuous improvement in the safety of Offshore Oil & Gas Operations in the Mediterranean region through the exchange of best practice and experience as a key driver to strengthening regional economic development, for the benefit of all people in this region.

The Mediterranean Offshore Authorities Forum is part of HHRM's strategy for leadership initiatives at regional and European level with the aim of evolving the sector to the highest standards and best approaches to ESG issues (Environmental Social and Governance).

HHRM’s CEO, Mr. Aristofanis Stefatos, will welcome participants and deliver the opening speech followed by presentations by representatives of institutions and ministries national governments from European countries including: Katerina Plati (Cypriot Ministry of Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance, Department of Labour Inspection), Vlatka Vanicek (Croatian Hydrocarbon Agency), Katerina Kostaki (HHRM), Roberto Cianella (Italian Ministry of Economic

Development Directorate-General for Infrastructures, Safety and Security of the Energy and Geomining systems), Stelios Zervos (Cypriot Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works Department of Public Works). This will be followed by a dialogue and exchange of views and experience with the participation of representatives of competent authorities of European countries and the European Union .
